Panhard Rod

Image
A rear suspension rod was rattling a bit. Some research finds that it is called a Panhard Rod and is only needed because I have air suspension. the only Iveco part number is for the whole rod, including bushes 504035762  cost £229.38. The rod does not come off without removing the nearside air bag (or sawing the bolt). The bolt was seized in the bush, but fortunately the bushes themselves were sound it just needed tightening up. greased and tightened and  other end moved freely but air bag prevented removal.

The Hubb 2014 Donington park

Image
Hubb 2014 Another great overlander meeting Ideal to inspire me and enough to make Karen restless. Missed Rich who was still in hospital, but we parked with his Silk Route friends. High point  definitely Ed March and his Honda C90 adventures.. again. Interesting  to see the Husky Bimobil's just after brother David has bought a Hilux. Road kill demo brilliant: I demo'd a pheasant. We had a pigeon preparation race. I did a squirrel for the first time and Karen joined us just as Game sausages were being prepared. Road kill squirrel roadkill (game) sausages minced first then fed into skins (Ox intestine) Packing up Cute BIG silk road vehicle

Tardis

Image
Tardis Logo .... discretely presented in Silver on white. Cut out from mirror silver  vinyl wrap - much cheaper than getting a decal made - plenty left over for the front. Notice the clever use of the Iveco font used for the model names like S T R A L I S. a copyright infringement of the use of the font and the TARDIS name .... don't tell anyone.

Gower Folk festival 2014

Image
A treat: A return to the annual Gower Folk Festival , did not disappoint: Not many pictures, I was reading two books, rather slowly: You Talkin' To Me? : Rhetoric from Aristotle to Obama by Sam Leith, which I had given to Simon for Christmas. and a rather heavier: The Ravenous Brain : By daniel Bor at Sussex. How the New Science of Consciousness Explains Our Insatiable Search for Meaning. Yes, just to prove it was a folk festival And a chill out. And a treat for father's day Zoe and I went to Cardiff for a great session kayaking at Cardiff white water. Two kayaks, two paddlers ... but no photographers.
