Shell Island camping

Image
Biggest or best. Shell Island claims to be the biggest campsite in Europe. It could also be the best. Acres of space numbers limit free to camp anywhere 20m separation for different groups great beach enticing dunes. crabbing excitement of being cut off at high time. Extra highlights just for us:   This weekend we were joined by: brother David, Julie, Milly and George  and Zoe too: And spotted dolphins   kayaking with Zoe Kites swimming in the sea toasted marshmallows I made an unsuccessful attempt to drive over the dunes. I got a lot further than anyone else. I think I needed to lower the tyre pressures and keep the wheel spinning fast. The recovery fee would have been £20 if needed - that seemed like a bargain. See their website:  nearest town is Llanbedr   Amazing pictures, it looks more remote than my Morocco photos. See the tyre tracks from failed sand dune traverse ...

N'ukefest Nantwich

Ukulele's cider and sun N'uke fest  2014 A great chill out at the Cotton Arm s Wrenbury. The first full weekend trip of the year. Karen [and I] discovers a taste for  Aspall Suffolk cider, and then goes up on stage: We met Leigh Lintell and family who we bought the camper from three years ago. always good to talk about trucks and wheels The campsite was right next to the pub and festival, with as much good music in the tents around us as on stage. Fascinating canal system with its unique draw bridges (if two bridges can be unique)
